Firefly Foods was founded in 2008 as a distribution company supplying cold meat and other processed meat
products in Polokwane, Louis Trichardt and Musina in Limpopo. In 2009, we opened a store to provide our
products to the public. In 2014, we bought the factory that produced our cold meat and now produce our own
meat products.
The business now consists of the Factory (Firefly Meat Processing), which is located at 84 Silicon Str
Polokwane and the Factory Store (Firefly Factory Shop) in 83 Pietersburg Str.
We still do our own distribution and our client base consists of Supermarkets (eg Spar) Restaurants, Take Aways
and Butchers.
The business is run by owner Armand van Rooyen and his brother Marnus van Rooyen.
